SVIP Pathway

SVIP gives newly graduating Software Engineering Students from the UK the unique experience of working with hot tech companies in Silicon Valley through a one-year internship. The aim is that through this experience, you will bring a little of the Silicon Valley attitude back to the entrepreneurial community in the UK. Successful applicants are matched with a high growth tech companies and will work a normal day job as an integral part of their engineering teams. Over the course of the year, you will also have the opportunity to take part in a variety of hackathons and events to learn about the entrepreneurial process as you work on your own startup ideas. We’re looking for candidates who have the raw brain power and flexibility to make them a valuable asset to their startups, as well a healthy dose of entrepreneurial spirit.

  • You have graduated from a British University within the last five years, or are expected to graduate Summer 2017.
  • You are a citizen of a country within the European Union (EU) or Switzerland.
  • You have a Computer Science, software engineering or other STEM degree that included a significant amount of software development experience.
  • You are willing to move to the Silicon Valley in California for 1 year.
  • You have the desire and productivity to commit to learning about entrepreneurship and building a business alongside a full time role as a Developer.
  • You are willing to take a coding test and additional technical interviews that will evaluate your coding expertise. Please note this test is timed and will be done based on the language proficiency indicated on your application.

GIT Pathway

GIT gives newly graduating female Software Engineering Students from around the world the unique experience of working with hot tech companies in Silicon Valley through a one-year internship. Successful applicants are matched with a high growth tech companies and will work a normal day job as an integral part of their engineering teams. Over the course of the year, you will also have the opportunity to take part in a variety of hackathons and events to learn about the entrepreneurial process as you work on your own startup ideas.   • You are female.
  • You have graduated from a university within the five years, or are expected to graduate in the Summer of 2017.
  • You are able to demonstrate an ability to code proficiently in at least one software language.
  • You have a Computer Science, software engineering or other STEM degree that included a significant amount of software development experience.
  • You are comfortable communicating fluently in English and express yourself adequately in a work setting.
  • You are willing to move to the Silicon Valley in California for 1 year.
